Q: Which arb alert services do you use, if not the ones you have detailed on this website?
A:
I don't subscribe to any arb services, because I've found that I am able to find enough arbs of my own to remain profitable without using somebody else's service. Of course this keeps my costs down, too! I list the most popular arb services (ones that I know of anyway) because they do work for a lot of people, especially beginners who find it difficult finding arbs of their own. I'm not linked to any of them and don't promote any one in particular.

Q: Why have you set this website up / what do you get out of it?
A:
I set the website up because I'm sat in front of the computer for long spaces of time (the curse of being an arb player!) and wanted a project to work on. This seemed like the most logical choice! At first I didn't benefit financially and I'm still not promoting any arb service, either. In February 2006 I put some Google contextual ads on the site to help pay for hosting costs etc... What I get out of the website is something that I can work on to keep the boredom at bay. I'm also learning about building websites so this is a hobby really.

Q: Why introduce other people to arbitrage betting when they will end up competing for your profits?
A:
Yes, it would be great it there were only me looking for arbs, I'd be a very rich man. However the reality is that sports arbitrage is being heavily promoted these days so people are going to find out about it anyway. In fact they will probably only come across this website if they already know what they're looking for! The way I see it is that I'm here to point out the pitfalls and maybe counter some of the "easy money" claims of some of the arb services advertising literature.

Q: Which books / manuals do you recommend reading to learn about arbitrage betting?
A:
There are loads of sports arbitrage e-books available on the Internet and I would imagine that they all cover pretty much the same ground. In fact you probably don't need to learn about arbs from an e-book at all because most of the information that they supply if freely available on the web somewhere. However, if you are interested in buying one, a search on Google for the term "sports arbitrage" should yield a number of websites selling surebet manuals. And if you have any specific questions, contact me and I'll be happy to answer your queries.
